Isolated car parked in front of private school in city's Peelamedu area causes undue panic among public

Following the car cylinder explosion near a temple in Ukkadam, locals in Coimbatore are panicking at the slightest hint of spotting an isolated car.



Coimbatore: A car parked in front of a private school near Peelamedu in Coimbatore created a commotion in the area, in the wake of a car cylinder explosion in front of the Kottai Easwaran Temple area, killing one person.

Police investigation suspects a terror link after huge quantities of explosives were found at the victim's house.



The police control room was informed that a car with a Chennai registration number had been parked in front of a private school in the Peelamedu area of Coimbatore, for the past few days.



The Peelamedu police who reached the spot, investigated and found that the owner of the car was Rathinakumar who works as a bus driver in the same school.

During interrogation, the bus driver revealed that he had brought it from his house in Avarampalayam on Wednesday morning to take it for repairs later. On orders from the police, Rathinakumar immediately took the car away from the area.
