Park Institutions organised a seminar on Enterprise Vulnerability Management, providing 150 students from the Computer Science Engineering, Cyber Security, AI & Data Science (AIDS), and Information Technology departments with practical exposure to the Qualys platform and its application in real-world cybersecurity environments.
Coimbatore: Around 150 second- and third-year students from the Computer Science Engineering, Cyber Security, AI & Data Science (AIDS), and Information Technology departments, along with faculty members of Park Institutions, participated in a seminar on Enterprise Vulnerability Management.
The seminar introduced participants to the Qualys platform, its core modules and its role in identifying and managing vulnerabilities in enterprise environments. The programme was aimed at strengthening tool-based learning and helping students understand how cybersecurity practices are applied beyond the classroom.
Dr. Saranya, Head of the Department of CSE and Cyber Security, welcomed the gathering and highlighted the relevance of the seminar for students pursuing computer science and cybersecurity-related disciplines.
The session was led by Mr. Prabhu MC, Principal Data Architect at DataDrone Inc., Greater Seattle. Since 2019, he has been working with growing B2B SaaS companies to integrate product, sales and operations data into unified, real-time systems, enabling teams to respond more effectively to customer signals.
During the technical session, students gained practical insights into vulnerability scanning and reporting using the Qualys platform, giving them an understanding of how enterprise security teams identify, assess and address potential security vulnerabilities.
