Coimbatore: Following the launch of K. Annamalai’s new political movement, “We The Leaders,” several BJP functionaries and supporters have announced their departure from the party and expressed support for the former Tamil Nadu BJP chief. In the latest such development, Dr. Anusha Ravi, a social activist and educationist, has resigned from the BJP and pledged her support to Annamalai’s new political initiative.

In a detailed statement addressed to Tamil Nadu BJP President Nainar Nagendran, Dr. Anusha Ravi described her decision as one driven by conviction and a commitment to public service. Reflecting on the changing dynamics of contemporary politics, she observed that emerging generations are no longer mere spectators in the political process but active participants shaping its direction and purpose.

She credited Prime Minister Narendra Modi as the leader who first inspired her to enter public life, stating that his vision, determination and commitment to nation-building had served as a guiding force throughout her political journey.
