Special Unreserved Express Train Connecting Ernakulam, Coimbatore, and Brahmapur Launched

Indian Railways introduces an unreserved express service from Ernakulam to Brahmapur via Coimbatore, set to operate on the 16th, 23rd, and 30th of March 2024, aiming to enhance connectivity and travel convenience.

Ernakulam: In an effort to improve rail connectivity between Kerala, Tamil Nadu, and Odisha, Indian Railways has announced the launch of a new unreserved express train service. This service will connect Ernakulam with Coimbatore and further extend to Brahmapur, a city located along the eastern coastline of Odisha. The move is aimed at facilitating easier travel for passengers seeking affordable and accessible transportation options across these regions.

Brahmapur, a significant urban center in Odisha, is known for its rich cultural heritage and strategic location on the Howrah-Chennai Main Line. The city's railway station falls under the jurisdiction of the Khurda Road division of the East Coast Railway, making it a pivotal point for rail traffic in the area.

The unreserved express train is scheduled to depart from Ernakulam at 11:30 pm on the 16th, 23rd, and 30th of March 2024. It will reach Coimbatore at 3:30 am the following day, ensuring a night journey that minimizes travel time and inconvenience. The train will continue its journey to Brahmapur, arriving at its destination at 5:00 am the next day.

This fully unreserved service is designed to cater to the needs of passengers preferring spontaneous travel plans without the necessity of advance reservations. It also aims to accommodate the increased demand for rail travel between these cities, offering a convenient and efficient mode of transportation.

Passengers and stakeholders alike are encouraged to popularize this service to maximize its utility and benefit a larger segment of the traveling public. This initiative reflects Indian Railways' commitment to enhancing rail connectivity and ensuring travel convenience for its passengers across different regions of the country.
