Indresh hails from Seeranaickenpalayam area of Coimbatore district. The 22-year-old is studying third year International Business at a private college. Indresh's friend Venkatesh celebrated his birthday party last night in the Kavundampalayam area. For this they have gone in the car with 4 of his friends and traveled beyond lockdown hours near Anaikatti.
They have returned via Anaikatti Road in the early hours of the morning after the party. While returning, Indresh lost control of his car at high speed and crashed into a tree in Kalayanur area. Indresh, Karthik Raju from Poo Market area, Mohan Hari from Kasturi Naickenpalayam area and Manikandan from North Coimbatore died on the spot.
The injured Prajesh has been admitted to Coimbatore Government Hospital for treatment. The bodies of the four were sent to the Coimbatore Government Hospital for autopsy. Thadagam police are investigating the incident and who the youths were and where they came from.
The accident that took place while the curfew was in force has caused grief and anger among the people of the area.
