Coimbatore: Two more cops from the Annur police station tested positive for COVID-19 following the two who were confirmed with the infection yesterday.

COVID-19 spread in Coimbatore is constantly on the rise . So far, more than 4,500 people have been affected. A lot of cops turned positive for the dreaded virus.

The Sub Inspector and Special Cell Head Constable of the Annur Police Station were confirmed with COVID-19, yesterday. The Sub Inspector's wife also tested positive. Following this, the Police Station building was closed and started temporarily functioning from a tent set up in front of the station.

Worryingly, two more policemen, a special Sub inspector and the head writer, have tested positive for COVID-19 today and have been admitted for treatment.
