Coimbatore: An employee of the State Bank of India, Valparai tested positive for COVID-19, following which the bank branch has been closed for three days.

The employee who tested positive for COVID-19 has been sent to Coimbatore ESI for treatment. Following this, two others who shared living space with the person have been isolated.
The bank has been fumigated and will stay closed for three days.
Additionally, a young girl from Anna Nagar and another young girl from the Karumalai Balaji temple tested positive for COVID-19 and have been admitted at Coimbatore ESI.
Contact tracing and isolation are underway for all the cases.
