Five men who were involved in selling cannabis in the Kuniyamuthur and Podanur areas were arrested and imprisoned. A total of nine men have been arrested so far in connection with the sale of ganja.

Nine men have been arrested in the past two days for the sale of cannabis at Saibaba Colony, Selvapuram, Kuniyamuthur and Podanur areas. A total of 6.25 kgs of ganja has been seized from them and cases have been filed. Additionally, two two-wheelers and Rs.2,030 cash have also been seized.
While four men were arrested from the Saibaba Colony and Selvapuram areas the police arrested three men, Jayaprakash, Sarbudeen and Abdul Hakim, yesterday, from the Podanur area.
Similarly, two youngsters Udayakumar and Nagraj, who sold cannabis in the Kuniyamuthur area were arrested by the Kuniyamuthur police.
