Coimbatore:Tamil Nadu Tribal Welfare Association Coimbatore District Committee Chairman Paramasivan has submitted a petition to the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu Edappadi Palanisamy requesting that action be taken to conduct classes with teachers area wise for the benefit of tribal students at forest villages and rural localities in Coimbatore district.

The petition states that the online education system announced in Tamil Nadu is inaccessible to the innumerable tribal students living in the Coimbatore district. Without TV's and android mobiles, more than 500 Indigenous students have no access to education. There is a risk that tribal students will not be able to pursue higher studies due to this online education system.

Paramasivan requested that the government should make arrangements to conduct lessons with teachers at government schools near tribal settlements. The petition states that the Chief Minister should order that the students be provided with food in the morning and afternoon and that transport facilities be arranged to bring them to the special class.

He requested that these arrangements should be made on a panchayat-wise basis. He also submitted a copy of the petition to the District Collector.
