Planting in preparation for the second season begins at Ooty Botanical Garden

The Nilgiris: Ooty Botanical Garden is now being prepared for the second season and the planting of 75 varieties of multi-coloured flower saplings are underway.

The Nilgiris: Ooty Botanical Garden is now being prepared for the second season and the planting of 75 varieties of multi-coloured flower saplings are underway.

The garden is one of the major tourist destinations in Ooty, known as the Queen of the Hills.



All the lawns in the park were leveled and about one lakh flower seedlings of 75 varieties including marigold, pansy, begonia and dahlia were planted. Due to the absence of tourists for the last 3 months, the garden sports an untouched lush look.
