In Coimbatore, ₹82,500 in unaccounted cash was seized from the Sub-Registrar Office (SRO) at Sarkarsamakulam.
Coimbatore: A joint surprise check conducted by the Directorate of Vigilance and Anti-Corruption (DVAC), along with District Inspection Cell officials, at government offices across Tamil Nadu on August 27 resulted in the seizure of unaccounted cash and detection of suspicious digital transactions.
According to the DVAC press release, ₹28,24,945 in unaccounted cash was seized across various government offices, while suspicious transactions through G-Pay amounting to ₹89,89,663 were also detected. The combined amount stood at ₹1,18,14,608.
In Coimbatore, the surprise check was conducted at the Sub-Registrar Office (SRO), Sarkarsamakulam, where officials seized ₹82,500 in unaccounted cash. No suspicious G-Pay transaction was recorded at the location, according to the details released by the DVAC.
