Hindu Munnani installs over 1,200 Ganesha idols across Tirupur

The Hindu Munnani State President, Kadeswara Subramaniam stated that more than 1,200 idols of Lord Ganesha are being installed at more than 1,200 places across Tirupur district.


Tirupur: Around 1,200 Ganesha idols are being installed by the Hindu Munnani for worship on the occasion of Vinayaka Chaturthi across Tirupur district.



The Hindu Munnani State President, Kadeswara Subramaniam said, "In Tirupur district alone, more than 1,200 idols of Lord Ganesha are being installed at more than 1,200 places on behalf of the Hindu Munnani."

Apart from this, various Hindu organizations are also offering prayers to various Ganesha idols.



The Kubera Vinayaka idol is installed in Tirupur Kottai Mariamman temple and Ramavathara Vinayaka idol with bow and arrow, is being installed at Aranmanai Pudur. Idols of Lord Ganesha in various shapes have been placed in the vegetable market area.



One such idol is the 18-feet tall Gajaraja Vinayaka idol sitting on an elephant.



Pujas including the Ganapathi Homam were performed to the Vinayaka idols placed at various places across Tirupur district from Wednesday morning onwards. A large number of people participated in the event and offered prasadams to Lord Vinayaka, including the traditional 'kolukkattai.' Annadhanam was also distributed in different areas.
