Students in Valparai protest to pass interim law to ban PETA.

Close to 200 students of Bharathiar University Arts & Science College, Valparai, today protested in front of their college to release the ban on Jallikattu and in turn to ban PETA.

Anti-PETA slogans were raised as a part of the protest. 'Release ban on Jallikattu and ban PETA', 'Jallikattu is our identity, we won't let it die' were the slogans raised by the students.

One of the student said “Jallikattu ban is done in the intent of destroying the culture of Tamil people. The central government should pass an interim law and ban the PETA organisation and permission should be granted to conduct Jallikattu.”

The students assured that they will continue their protest till the ban on Jallikattu is lifted.
