'Passengers can now book unreserved tickets through 'UTSONMOBILE' App', says Salem division railways.


The 'UTSONMOBILE' is a mobile application launched by the Indian railways through which passengers can book tickets. 

'Passengers can book their tickets for the suburban trains and general compartment tickets. A print out can also be taken from the automatic vending machines available at the railway stations. Using the application the tickets can be booked from the stations which come under the Salem division., Salem, Coimbatore, Tiruppur, Erode, Mettupalayam, Karur, Salem Town, Attur and Chinnasalem' says Southern Railways, Salem division 

The applications is available for android and windows platform. The passenger can use the R-wallet (Railway wallet) for making the payment. The R-wallet can be  recharged at the UTS counters  by logging into www.utsonmobileindrail.gov.in.

This application can be downloaded on a Android/Windows based smart phone by using their mobile number as their identity. The passenger can register as a user of this application and charge his R-wallet (Railway Wallet). The passenger has the option of charging the Railway wallet either at UTS counters or also by logging on to www.utsonmobileindrail.gov.in. After charging the R-wallet (Railway Wallet) the passenger can book an unreserved ticket on his phone.

For booking unreserved tickets through this system, passengers are requested to follow these steps: 

1. Download the “UTSONMOBILE” app and install it on their Android/Windows mobile phone, using their mobile number as their identity.

2. Register as a user of this application.

3. Recharge the R-wallet (Railway Wallet) with a minimum amount of Rs.100/-.

4. Go to the application and book tickets.

5. Go to the station and get the tickets printed from the ATVM by giving the Mobile No. and the booking ID available on the show ticket option.

6. The passenger cannot travel without the printed card ticket from the ATVM

In case, the passenger finds any difficulty in getting the ticket from ATVM, they can contact the UTS booking counter for getting the ticket.
