Elephants on a rampage, damage Bharathiar Arts and Science College, Valparai.


About 400 students are studying at the Bharathiar Arts and Science College, Valparai. In recent times, an increasing number of man-animal conflicts have been reported from this region. The wild tuskers have caused damage to life and property.



A fresh case of a herd of elephants causing damage to property has been reported from Valparai. This time, the elephants, entered the Bharathiar Arts and Science College, Valparai and damaged the doors and windows of classrooms. Following this incident, the students and professors of the college have requested for installation of an electric fence to prevent such incidents in the future.
