Department of Costume Design and Fashion (CDF) of Sri Krishna Arts and Science College (SKASC), hosted a two-day handicrafts exhibition on 9 and 10 January at its college campus. A source from this college shares that every academic year, in the month of January, this departments hosts an exhibition to showcase the creations of its students. This year, stalls selling products and accessories were put up by the students of this department.

Dr. K. Sundararaman, CEO, Sri Krishna Institutions and Chitra Ramasamy, Entrepreneur, Beads Fashion School inaugurated this exhibition. The Chief Guest Chitra Ramasamy said “The future world requires more entrepreneurs not the job seekers. It is paramount that the entrepreneurs of the future are armed with the right education and experience. In this technologically driven era, it is also important that entrepreneurs possess technological skills. Youth has a major responsibility of mastering entrepreneurship and technological skills.”

This exhibition truly lived up to its motto ‘earn while you learn’ as a sales of rupees 48,000 was generated. Various hand-crafted products and accessories like key chain, bracelet, earrings, bangles, anklet, hair clip and bands, choker, fabric chains, string bracelet, dream catcher hangers, bead work, purse, bookmarkers, earphone holders, note pads, pencil toppers, pillows, hand bags, greeting cards, jean bags, jute bags, dish mat, deco props, jewel box, portrait sketching, combo box among others were sold at the venue.
Dr. P. Babagnanakumar, Principal of the college encouraged the students for entrepreneur for their beautiful presentations and marketing skills. Prof. Geetha Marget, Head of Department of CDF, Professors, students and many others took participated in this exhibitions.
