Vidhya Ramasamy (50) is working in the Pollachi branch of Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC) and her husband is working in Syndicate Bank in Ghaziabad. When she returned home from work around 2 pm, she noticed the door of her home open.

On entering her home she noticed that valuables were missing. It has been reported that about 80 sovereign gold and 20,000 rupees in cash, is stolen from one of the cupboards in her home. Subsequently, Vidhya informed the Podanur police about the incident. The Podanur police conducted a finger print analysis and are investigating the case.
