District Collector, T. N. Hariharan, released the revised electoral list for Coimbatore today, in the presence of the representatives of recognised political parties. As per the list, there are 28 lakhs 35 thousand and 102 voters in the constituencies of Mettupalayam, Sulur, Kavundampalayam, Coimbatore South, Thondamuthur, Coimbatore North, Singanallur, Kinathukadavu, Pollachi and Valparai.
Among these, 14,06,824 voters are men and 14,28.002 voters are women. Voters who belong to third gender are 276 people. About 91,054 persons have been removed from the list, for reasons like repetition, death, change of location among others. A copy of the voter list was provided to the representatives of the parties.
