In a bid to make people install the Swachhata App, the City Corporation has been continually engaging the students of various educational institutions to take part in the drive and educate the public on the mission of the App and Swachh Bharat Abhiyan programme.
Today, an installation drive was conducted at Sri Krishna educational institutions in which members of the Coimbatore Corporation participated and explained about the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan programme emphasizing on 'Clean India' launched by PM Narendra Modi on 2nd October, 2014.

Close to 1000 students of Sri Krishna and VLB educational institutions along with the faculty members participated in this awareness drive. 10 students from each class of the colleges were selected , who will in turn act as ambassadors in creating awareness by spreading the mission of Swachh Bharat Abhiyan and the Swachhata mobile application amongst their classmates and make them use the application.

CCMC Special Officer, Vijayakarthikeyan interacted with the students about the mission and motivated them to be socially responsible citizens. He also motivated the students to use the Swachhata App and contribute towards the cleanliness and hygiene of the city. Volunteers of Residents Awareness Association of Coimbatore (RAAC), Arc foundation, Swachh women wonders whatsapp group volunteers and many more volunteers took part in this drive.

Students were asked to spread the mission of the programme to their parents and neighborhood and persuade them on the usage of the App through which they can raise ward level complaints and seek immediate resolution.
Recently, the Swachhata App installation drive was hosted at the PSG College of Arts and Science through which student volunteers were selected to impart the knowledge of cleanliness to the public.
