Coimbatore collector conducted an inspection yesterday to review the status of issue of farm loans as per the government order issued by the Department of Cooperative stores and Consumer protection. During the inspection it was found that so far Rs. 13.32 crores was distributed to 1978 farmers through the 2972 accounts which were opened at the Central cooperative bank branches. Farmers whose farms loans were not waived off, were requested to repay the loans obtained earlier. They (farmers) were told to avail the new loan.
