In a meeting presided by CCMC Special Officer, Vijayakarthikeyan at The Corporation office, students from various educational institutions were educated about the Swachh Survekshan 2017 and Swachhata App.
Undoubtedly, students can create awareness and pool in more people to use the App and also help the people co-operate with the Corporation to achieve highest levels of sanitation standards and bag the best city title under Swachh Survekshan 2017.

Under the Swachh Bharat Mission (Urban), the Ministry of Urban Development conducts ‘Swachh Survekshan’ which ranks cities based on their progress based on levels of sanitation and efforts made by respective urban local bodies.
CCMC has been engaged in spreading the word of using the App through various mediums like vehicle advertisement, banners at prominent places in the city, working hand-in-hand with the volunteers of city-based NGOs to educate the public on the need to maintain and practice cleanliness at their locale.
And, public can also lodge their complaints through the Swachhata App if they spot any sanitation related issues in their ward and get it sorted out in less than a span of 2 hours.
