“A safe and enhanced navigation system for the visually challenged” a project by Sheryl Mathew, final year student of ECE department of Sri Krishna College of Engineering and Technology (SKCET) has been shortlisted as one of the 20 projects from across the world in All IEEE Young Engineers’ Humanitarian (AIYEHUM) Challenge.
She has also been awarded a grant of Rs.33190 for developing a prototype of her invention. The model developed by Sheryl will give real time information about obstacles in the path of a user, thus, enabling the user to avoid the obstacles in their path with the information that he/she receives.
