Rediyaruru near Pollachi in Coimbatore is affected by drinking water problem for the past three months. The people from the village have said that there was no action by the district administration even after repeated complaints. About 50 people from the village staged a dharna before the Sub collector’s office in Pollachi demanding regularisation of water supply to their village with empty vessels. The area was tense following this incident.
