The 31st lamp lighting ceremony was today hosted at the College of Nursing, Sri Ramakrishna Institute of Paramedical Sciences. Dr. S. Madhavi, Principal, KMCH College of Nursing, Coimbatore was the chief guest for the event. Dr. T. Nirmala, Principal, College of Nursing, Sri Ramakrishna Institute of Paramedical Sciences delivered the welcome address in this function that was presided by D. D. Lakshminarayanaswamy, Joint Managing Trustee, S.N.R Sons Charitable Trust.

The first year nursing students took an oath to follow the path shown by Florence Nightingale. They also lit a lamp, symbolically marking their entry into the nursing profession. Prof. Girijakumari, Vice Principal, College of Nursing administered the Florence nightingale pledge. Dr. S. Madhavi, Principal, KMCH College of Nursing who was the chief guest in her address said “Have competence, cognition, critical thinking, courage and communication towards your profession.” Associate Professor V. Brindha, College of Nursing, Sri Ramakrishna Institute of Paramedical Sciences proposed the vote of thanks.
