The volunteers of Swachh Bharat along with Coimbatore Corporation have been tirelessly working in transforming the city of Coimbatore to a much cleaner city. Through their regular clean-up drives, the volunteers have cleaned up the dirt-streaked areas of railways station, bus stands, government schools and many other places.
A couple of weeks back, a team of volunteers cleaned up the walls near the railway station which was disfigured into a public toilet bearing cinema and mourning posters.
But shortly after the clean-up drive, unfortunately, the cleaned walls were ruined again by the public by sticking cinema and mourning posters. It was then decided by the team that paintings or other alternative methods to keep it persistently clean should be devised.
With more zest, the Volunteers of the Swachh Bharat initiated yet another cleaning area at the same place but with a different idea. Post-cleaning, paintings emphasizing on a cleaner environment along with slogans of Swachh Bharat movement decorated the walls.
The walls now pose a completely new and cleaner look. The public and the regular passersby lauded the initiative of the volunteers for their effort in cleaning the wall.
