In the process of transacting money, harsh words transacted between bank employee and customer

The public is left with no other choice but to stand in the long queue at the various banks in order to carry out transactions. Waiting at the banks becomes worth the wait, however, on some occasions, the bank customers and the bank employees lose their patients and instead of transacting cash, harsh words are transacted.

One such incident resulted in a verbal war of words. It has been reported that a customer who visited the bank with the intention of transacting cash, ended up transacting harsh words with an employee of this bank.

A customer and an employee of the Town Hall branch of the Indian Overseas Bank (IOB) entered into an argument today. People are facing difficulties in performing cash transactions due to the demonetisation of Rs.500 and Rs.1,000 currency notes. Though the Rs.2,000 denomination currency is in circulation, it was not enough to manage the currency demand.

At this IOB branch, today Rs.2,000 currency notes were issued to customers. People are provided with tokens and they stand in long queues for getting the money. Sometimes they are waiting in the queue from morning till evening to withdraw money.

It has been reported that a bank employee ended up abusing a customer who questioned this delay. This resulted in a fight between the two, following which the customer demanded an apology from the bank employee. The customers requested that an additional counter should be opened for issue of currency.
