Today morning, the civic body opted to take the severe action against
the property tax defaulter at Ward No:76 by placing a garbage bin right
in front of his industry's entrance.
Rajaram, an industrialist at Rajarajeshwari Street, Ward No:76 is yet to pay his property tax dues of RS. 25,176 to the city corporation.
As he paid no heed to the warnings and notices issued by the civic body, today, he had to face the extreme measure taken by thecivic body.
'Over and again, the civic body has been issuing warnings to the residents and commercials establishments to clear their dues on priority to avoid confiscations and disconnection of water connection. Considering various issues into account, sufficient extension of time was also provided for the late payers' said Vijayakarthikeyan, Corporation Commissioner and Special Officer.
