DMK Youth Wing helps people at ATM queue's with refreshments

After the daily exchange amounts have been reduced from 4000 to 2000, the long queues in front of the ATM's and banks are increasing day by day as people are unable to get the desired amount of cash from their accounts. Senior citizens, diabetic patients are having a real tough time standing at the queue without access to water and toilets.

As a gesture of kindness, the Youth Wing of the DMK have come forward to help the people who are waiting in the long queues. Biscuits, refreshments and water bottles were distributed today to the people at the State Bank of India ATM at NSR Road, Saibaba Colony.

In this regard, Pari, DMK State Assistant Secretary of the Youth Wing said, ”DMK welcomes the decision of the central government to abolish black money but the hardships people are undergoing is immense. The Government should have taken enough measures to ensure sufficient stock of currencies before de-monetising the existing ones. Working people had to spend hours together at the ATM's to withdraw cash. We have distributed 1500 water bottles, refreshments and biscuits to help people during their long wait. We are planning to continue our services at ATM's around the city'.

DMK members Prabhuram, Chandrasekar, Sirajudeen and others were present during the distribution.
