VLB College researcher gets UGC grants for minor research project


S. Kiruba Sankari who serves as Assistant Professor in the Department of Management of VLB Janakiammal College of Arts and Science has been sanctioned grants by the University Grants Commission (UGC) for her research project titled “A study on tourist attractions towards spiritual tourism among foreign tourists”.

The aim of this research study is to understand the native citizen's understanding of the economic and social effects of tourism. Also, the study will find the motivations of the international tourists who visit India for spiritual reasons and to learn the art and science of yoga and meditation.

The research project is scheduled to be completed in two years and the results will be submitted to the UGC. S. Researcher Kiruba Sankari was felicitated by the college management and the professors appreciated her for obtaining the UGC grant.
