Sri Ramakrishna Institute of Oncology and Research Children‘s Day Celebration

SRIOR is having a free paediatirc ward for the Cancer affected children. So far we have treated about 700 children affected by cancer with more than 80% success. On children’s day a painting session is organized for all the children in free paediatric Oncology ward. This is to get rid of them from their daily routine difficulties and monotonous life due to illness. This event is organised throughout the India by all the leading Hospitals treating cancer affected children in Mumbai, Delhi and Chennai. The best of the paintings from each centre will be printed in the calendar for the coming year 2017. SRIOR has been participating in the event for the past ten years.

In view of children’s day, SRIOR organised a painting session in the Sri Ramakrishna Hospital auditorium at 4.00PM and the best painting will be given prizes and recommended for the calendar. This is followed by events of magic show, distribution of ballon sculptures to children. Dr.P.Guhan, Director, SRIOR, organized the event and presided by Dr.Sukumaran, Dean of Sri Ramakrishna hospital. Dr.Karthikesh, Surgical Oncologist and all the consultants of the Oncology department were present.
