Journalists from around the city wore black badges and gathered at the Collectorate today, to pay their last tribute to Goutham, Journalist and Cameraman, who passed away yesterday.
Gowtham alias Yazhmudinathan (27) is from Perur in Coimbatore district. He worked with Lotus and Moon television channels as a cameraman. Last week he went to Kodaikanal to attend his sister's marriage. He was staying in his sister's home after the marriage.
Last night, he lost his balance and slipped from the staircase as a result of which he sustained severe injuries. It is reported that Gowtham died on the spot. On receiving the information Kodaikanal police sent his body to the Kodaikanal Government Hospital for post-mortem. The body was transported to Coimbatore.
