CCMC collects 18.27 crores tax in three days.

Today, is the third day of the taxation drive initiated by the City Corporation announcing acceptance of demonetised 500's and 1000's from the public. Today, an amount of 2.54 crores has been collected towards tax dues from the public, says Special Officer Vijayakarthikeyan. 

Zone-wise break-up:

East - 54.83 lakhs

West - 51.83 lakhs

South - 29.51 lakhs

North - 57.53 lakhs

Central - 60.46 lakhs. 

So far, a total of 18.27 crores has been collected from 11th November till today. And, tomorrow being the last date for paying taxes through demonetised 500's and 1000's it is expected that the collection amount could increase notably.
