Encroachments cleared in Ward No:57.

Coimbatore corporation officials today removed encroachments on the 47 cents of corporation land in Uppilipalayam village which comes under the 57th ward of the Coimbatore corporation. Some people constructed huts on this land and were living since six years. The occupants were given two weeks time to vacate the houses. Today, the encroachments were removed as per the instructions of the Coimbatore corporation commissioner.

However, the residents have claimed that more time should have given to them as they have 20-day-old born baby in their home. And now, they had run around with the baby to find another place for shelter.
