137 unauthorized hoardings and flex boards removed from various parts in the city.


Hoardings and flex boards that were put up in various unauthorized places across the city were removed today by the Town Planning officials, City Corporation.



Despite repeated warnings from the concerned officials no action was taken by the owners to pull down the hoardings. These hoardings continued to pose a threat for pedestrians and commuters. Considering that they have been put up sans permission, Executive Engineer of the town planning department brought down 137 such hoardings from various parts of city.

In North Coimbatore west zone 9 unauthorised hoardings were removed, 4 hoardings from the east zone of Neelikonampalayam, Sathy road on the north zone 70 hoardings, Thudiyalur road in the north zone 50 hoardings and in Gandhipuram in the central zone about 4 unauthorised hoardings were brought down by the officials.
