Petrol bunk dealers to take a call on working hours

The Government at the centre has assured petrol bunk owners and dealers their commission. However, the owners and dealers allege that they have not received what has been promised to them. In this regard, several dealers downed shutters last months ahead of their regular working hours.

A meeting has been called for by oil company representatives to discuss how this tussle can be settled. In the mean time the members of the Tamil Nadu Petroleum Dealers Association have stated that if the decision is not in their favour, the dealers will compulsorily operate their petrol stations from 9 am to 6 pm on all days and they will also take a day off from work.
