Addressing the media today, here, Dr. K Krishnasamy leader of Puthiya Tamizhagam party made an official announcement that the party will join hands with the congress for the upcoming election in the union territory. “Puthiya Tamizhagam will support INC candidate Narayana Swamy for the upcoming elections in Pondicherry.” Krishnaswamy said.
Moving the focus to the Siruvani dam issue, he applauded the decision of the central government passing orders to Kerala government to stop construction of dam at Attapadi..
'The central government should initiate stern actions if Kerala government doesn't adhere to the orders' he said. He also condemned the decision of Tamil Nadu Newsprint and Papers Limited (TNPL) company to relocate thousands of minorities from Manur, Tirunelveli district. “These minorities must not be asked to relocate. Instead the TNPL must look out for another location to plant saplings. If the minorities in this location are put under any pressure to relocate, our party will call for protests., Krishnasamy said.
