Monsoon showers fill the artificial pond created by Siruthuli at Anna university.

Yesterday, the much awaited North East monsoon showers blessed the newly created water body by Siruthuli at the Anna University campus. NGO Siruthuli worked to create this water body at the backyard of the university campus in the intent to quench the thirst of animals, birds and importantly to store nature's precious gift, rains! The water body could hold a capacity of 7.5 million litres of water. The rains not only filled the water body but also the hearts of all the volunteers who worked hard to ensure that the rain water does not go down to the drain but conserved duly.

“Imagine if so much water can be harvested from a 130 acre campus - how much more can be harvested from 250 sq. kilometres of our city' shared a source from the organisation.
