Lawyers indefinite strike continues intensely

An indefinite strike was proposed by the lawyers against the new amendments issued by the Tamilnadu Government on 25th May, under Section 34(1) of the Advocates act 1961. The lawyers have abstained from all courts and tribunals urging unconditional withdrawal of the new amendments to the Advocates Act.

Today, they augmented their protest by forming a human chain starting from the Court premise till the Collectorate. More than 500 hundred lawyers participated in the human chain.
