Protesting against the steep bus fare hike effected by the Government and demanding its rollback Tamil Manila Congress cadres took out a parade of bullock carts before submitting a petition to District Collector T.N. Hariharan.
Led by Yuvaraja, Youth wing president of TMC, the cadres paraded themselves in four bullock carts before submitting a petition to the Collector.
“The steep hike has affected the welfare of the common public in a big way. They might be forced to travel by bullock carts if this situation continues. The government should take back the hike effected for the welfare of the people. My party would organize series of agitations protesting against the hike”, Yuvaraja said.
