In a rare gesture, Justice Velusamy, Judicial Magistrate (Court 3) has felicitated a Swapna Suja, a woman cop for her meritorious services.
According to the Judge who gave a memento to the woman cop, she has helped to solve a huge backlog of pending cases by promptly producing witnesses in the court.
Swapna Suja has produced witnesses in as many as 85pending cases which were pending since 2012 and helped close the cases on the court.
Swapna Suja is working as a Head Constable in the Singanallur Police Station (Crime Branch) and she has been serving in the uniformed services for the past 15 years.
The meritorious service of the woman cop and the felicitation by a judge has come in for appreciation from many quarters including the police and the judiciary.
