Protesting against the steep bus fare hike effected by the Government, Sai Ganesh, a city resident has returned his voter identity card to District Collector TN Hariharan.
The aggrieved resident who came to the collectorate branded the hike as an “anti-people measure” and in protest handed over the Voter id (Elector's Photo Identity Card) issued by the Election Commission of India (ECI).
The protester’s action created a flutter in the collector office campus, with the petitioners who have to come to give petition on Grievances Redressal day.
