Condemning against the steep bus fare hike effected, the woman volunteers of all India Democratic Women’s Association (Jananayaka Mathar Sangam) have been conducting an opinion poll with the city commuters in the city.
Holding ballot boxes the volunteers sought the opinion of the general public by giving them a ballot and sought their opinion with regard to the bus fare hike.
While most of the city commuters have expressed the steep hike as a “draconian measure” they said that the bus hike has affected their daily lives.
The sought opinion of the people would be sent to the Government to reconsider and roll back the steep hike in bus fare which came into effect from Saturday.
