Public get into scuffle with traffic cops in Singanallur for stopping vehicles 'abruptly'

Tense situations prevailed at Trichy road near Rajalakshmi mills signal, this morning, as the public got into a scuffle with the traffic police alleging the cops for causing a two-wheeler accident.

Tense situations prevailed at Trichy road near Rajalakshmi mills signal, this morning, as the public got into a scuffle with the traffic police alleging the cops for causing a two-wheeler accident. 



During the regular vehicle check carried out by the traffic police here this morning at Rajalakshmi mills signal, the traffic cops blocked the road all of a sudden to scoop an auto driver who was using cell phone while driving. 

While doing so, the auto driver was forced to apply brakes causing a rear-end collision. The two-wheeler driver who was behind the auto collided with the auto and slipped off from his vehicle leaving him sustain injuries. 

The public who witnessed the accident, rushed him to a private hospital and got into a scuffle with the cops for stopping vehicles 'abruptly' on the move in the name of vehicle check. 

The argument garnered the attention of the passers-by who also joined the public and pointed fingers at the traffic police transforming the scene more chaotic. The tumultuous situation also halted the traffic for a brief time 

Later, the Singanallur Police arrived to the scene and pacified the public. The injured was identified as Vijeshkumar (35) of Sulur.
