At the on-going third edition of Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Summit on Innovation in Governance Award, KIGA 2018, Coimbatore Corporation Commissioner and Special Officer, Dr. K. Vijayakarthikeyan has been awarded for his outstanding contribution during his tenure as Sub-Collector of Kovilpati in the past and also as CCMC Commissioner here, at present.

At the on-going third edition of Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Summit on Innovation in Governance Award, KIGA 2018, Coimbatore Corporation Commissioner and Special Officer, Dr. K. Vijayakarthikeyan has been awarded for his outstanding contribution during his tenure as Sub-Collector of Kovilpati in the past and also as CCMC Commissioner here, at present.

Dr. K. Vijayakarthikeyan received this award in New Delhi in the presence of Ajay Tamta, Textile Minister, Srijan Pal Singh is CEO and Co-Founder of Dr. A.P.J Abdul Kalam Centre, Dnyaneshwar M. Mulay, Minister of External Affairs and Overseas Indian Affairs and other dignitaries.
KIGA is an international conclave of policy makers, civil service officers, NGOs, media and academia who are dedicated to the task of governance and its dimensions. Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Award for Innovation in Governance to be presented to selected individuals and institutions for their exemplary work in improving governance and delivering value to the citizens.
The summit is dedicated to the 11th President of India, Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam (1931-2015).
The first and pioneering edition of the summit was conducted on 15th October 2016 at Vigyan Bhawan, New Delhi.
