Various competitions are to be held for the School students of the City for the Salim Ali Trophy Nature Competitions here on Sunday (21st January).
According to P. Pramod, Principal Scientist and Head of Nature Education at Salim Ali Centre for Ornithology and Natural History (SACON), which is organising the event, the annual event would witness more than 2000 students from over 50 schools participate in the competitions.
“Students from schools from in and around Coimbatore would participate in competitions like Elocution, painting, pencil shading, essay, poetry writing, story writing, quiz and Bird watching,” he added.
The event would be held at GD Matriculation School, near Collectorate in the city.
“This is one of the most popular annual nature education programme of SACON since inception,” he added.
