Protesting against the eviction operation of two Aavin bars, owned by a TTV Dinakaran supporter at Saibaba kovil here, a demo was staged by the supporters of the estranged AIADMK leader.
It is reported that Annammal, a former corporation councilor is running two Aavin shops near the Saibaba Kovil bus stop. Officials from the City Corporation arrived at the scene to evict the shops following which argument ensued between the two sides.
“The eviction of the Aavin bars is being carried out with a political motive at the insistence of Minister SP Velumani, as Annammal is a Dinakaran supporter,” said the TTV Dinakaran supporter.
