The Adventure cycle track (Hercules Rodeo Cycle Track at Ooty) which was a favorite haunt of tourists near the Boathouse has been closed down following non-renewal of the lease agreement.
The pine forests near the boathouse were leased out private companies to organize adventure activities and Hercules rodeo has set up a jungle cycle track, which attracted many tourists.
In the meanwhile, the adventure activity has been closed down following bidders quoting a lesser amount for to run their adventure activity business which left the tourists disappointed.
