"The drought conditions were unprecetended and the worst ever in the past 140 years but Mother Nature has blessed us with bountiful monsoons" say the farmers of Tiruppur and Coimbatore.
The sugarcane crop has been bountiful and the arrivals to the market has increased compared to last year. The farmers are happy that a bundle which was sold for Rs, 80 last years is sold for Rs.100 now.
