Bird Flu Scare : Fogging and Fumigation of vehilces intensified in Tamilnadu -Karnataka border

Fogging and Fumigation of incoming vehicles into Tamilnadu- Karnataka border has been intensified following bird flu outbreak in the neighboring state of Karnataka and to prevent such outbreak in Tamilnadu.

Fogging and Fumigation of incoming vehicles into Tamilnadu- Karnataka border has been intensified following bird flu outbreak in the neighboring state of Karnataka and to prevent such outbreak in Tamilnadu.



The vehicles reaching Kakkanalla check post in Nilgiris district which connects Mysore and Bangalore are closely monitored and subjected to fumigation by the personnel of Animal Husbandry department, who sanitize the oncoming vehicles into Tamilnadu.

"A close watch is being mounted to prevent any outbreak of the bird flu in Tamilnadu and preventive measures such as fumigation are carried out. The transportation of poultry from the neighboring state is also banned" said the officials.
