Indian Railways is all set to augment safety measures in Railway stations across the country by deploying “drone cameras” and embracing technology in a big way cutting across all its divisions and zones.

Piyush Goyal has tweeted “Enhancing Safety in Train Operations through Technology: Govt. introduces drones in Indian Railways to get real-time inputs related to safety & maintenance of railway infrastructure"
The drone cameras thus deployed would help provide real-time inputs for relief and rescue operations, project monitoring, the progress of important works, conditions of track and inspection –related activities.
This measure would enhance safety in and around the railway stations and better regulation of railway traffic and tracks.
This would be a positive step in the direction of ensuring the safety and efficiency of the thousands of railway stations across the nation.
